New Look Fashion Preview
10:33 PMAs most of you know, the month of September is when everyone is moving into the fall season and many stores are coming up with their fall/winter collection and that includes New Look! *YAYYYY*
New Look has actually kindly had us over at their Suntec City Brunch for a fashion preview and workshop where we got to know more about their new collection as well as try them on ourselves based on our own team's interpretation of the style.
So here's my team.
Hi Jasmine and Belinda!~ :D
(p/s: this might be a pretty long post but just stay with me cause I've something for you at the end of this ^^)
In order to get you all decked up in the latest fashion trends, I'm going to introduce to you the amazing Fall/Winter collection featuring 3 different styles that New Look has to offer!!
Also, I am going to show you how you can dress up in these different styles with basic clothings you'll probably already have as well as this super pretty White Swing Cami from New Look which caught my eyes the moment I stepped into the store.
First up:
Baboushka is actually inspired by a mix of Tapestry Florals and Russian Glamour.
For this style, autumnal colours such as teal, burgundy and navy are worn with prints and textures layered up with accessories.
What to wear: Ravishing Knitwear, Intricate Embroidery, Statement Outerwear
As you can see, most outfits are actually a clash of prints or textures but with a bit of black and white here and there, it really does pull the whole look together perfectly.
Baboushka in my opinion is a bit dressy and thus I decided to dress it down slightly to make it more suitable for school and added my own style into it
I paired the white swing cami with a printed bandage skirt so as to give a bit of volume to the top.
I then threw over my multi-coloured cardigan to brighten up my entire white on white outfit.
Since I wanted the cardigan to be the highlight of my outfit, I paired it with a black bag and black flats (since I'm schooling flats makes walking from point to point in the campus soooo much easier) so that it wouldn't steal the limelight of my cardigan.
Next:
A simple yet bold, powerful yet feminine look with a mix of leather, zips and animal prints.
For this style, monochromes are usually used as the base and animal prints will be used to
spice things up a little.
You will be surprised how amazingggg the pieces just come together.
Some might probably thing that this style with the contrasting prints might be a bit too loud.
So.. yes with the same white swing cami, I placed more focus on the monochrome part to tone things down and threw in a tinge of animal print to let you still stand out.
I paired the top with this panelled bandage skirt with a gold zipper down the middle so that the outfit would seem more layered. (I'm so sorry the panels can't be seen)
Since army suggests power and my friend said that ladies in heel seem to suggest superiority, I slipped on this pretty babies on to add some height.
I then wore a gold triangle necklace with a black and gold coloured bracelet and carried a clutch with snake skin print to just contrast it out of the full body of black and white.
If skirts and heels ain't your thing, change it out into a pair of black slim/disco pants or something along that line and slip into a pair of boots and you're all good to go.
Inspired by dark florals and tartan, this has got to be my favourite style of it all!!
Slightly feminine yet feeling like a rebel.
Accessorized with studs, chains and spikes, which are things I can't get enough of.
So just happen that my team got this theme so I was pretty happy, what luck~
The last photo is the outfit my group came together with.
A dark floral tank with a dark denim dungaree, black boots, a floral headband and some random black and gold bracelets we threw on last miniute ^^
Despite the dark colours thrown together, we wanted to show that it can still be a really adorbs outfit.
With a tinge of femininity yet showing character.
I hope you ain't tired of my face yet cause there's a tid bit more coming up ^^
A slightly more tough-up version of this style~
With the same white swing cami (See! 1 piece and so many styles! How awesome is this top),
I wore my favourite pair of denim shorts and tied my tartan shirt over to layer things up a bit.
Put on my black beanie and high-cut marts to give it a more bad ass feel :P
If you want, you can throw on a spiked bracelet or something to just toughen it up.
And that's all 3 style!~
Woo! You made it through!~
